Jesus Commanded, “Call No Man Father”

Matthew 23:9

9 “And do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.”

This teaching and our sign was inspired by what Catholic Commentators of the New American Bible wrote concerning Matthew 23:1-12. In these verses Jesus teaches the crowds and his disciples to call no man on earth Father and also forbidding other titles. Here is the statement made by the Catholic New American Bible Commentary, copyright 1991:

The Matthean Jesus forbids not only the titles but the spirit of superiority and pride that is shown by their acceptance.”

We were shocked to find this statement not in a protestant commentary, but in a Catholic commentary! “Matthean Jesus”, is this commentary suggesting that there is more than one Jesus? Is the Catholic church somehow suggesting that the Jesus found in the Gospel of Matthew is actually another Jesus than the one that they claim. Furthermore, this proves to us that at least someone in Rome knows that calling the priest “Father” and the pope “Holy Father” is wrong.

Peter Was Not the Rock

One of the biggest scandal’s of the Catholic Church’s history is removing God from his rock solid foundation and replacing Him with man. To do this they had to manipulate Scripture throughout the ages. In this teaching you will see that God is the Rock and not the Apostle Peter as the Catholic Church has taught in error for centuries. The prophet Isaiah quotes God as saying, “He knew of no other Rock”, besides Himself.

Isaiah 44:6-8

6 “Thus says the Lord , the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me.

7 ‘Who is like Me? Let him proclaim and declare it; Yes, let him recount it to Me in order, From the time that I established the ancient nation. And let them declare to them the things that are coming And the events that are going to take place.

8 ‘Do not tremble and do not be afraid; Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, Or is there any other Rock? I know of none.’

Did Jesus die on Good Friday?

A Comment from an ExCatholic…who became a Bible student
After reading the gospels for the very first time I realized that something was very wrong with the Good Friday teaching of Jesus death. Jesus said that the only sign that He was allowing the unbelieving Jews to see was that the son of man would be in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights; Matthew 12:38-40. Being a math student It was easy to detect the error of the Good Friday teaching we were taught as Catholics. I am amazed that the so called one true church could be teaching such an obvious error. After a little study in the old testament it was clear that there were special Sabbaths that were observed by the Jews according to the ceremonial law. What amazes me is that all these high minded hierarchy that are in Rome never caught this error. The scripture clearly says Jesus rose on the first day of the week which was Sunday so Jesus had to die on a Thursday with the special sabbath starting at 6 P.M. on Thursday evening. The scripture reference for this special sabbath is found in the Old Testament book of Leviticus chapter 23.

Testimony of a Catholic Man who Became a Born Again Christian

One of the most incredible testimonies you will ever hear. God reached this man in a very unique, supernatural way and delivered him from incredible religious bondage and a very deep prison of sin. Truly, when God chose this man he surely used the “weak and foolish things of the world, to confound the wise.” Also this testimony will astonish you by showing you how dreams, visions and prophecy are very relevant for today.
